Background
I am retired from a career in the insurance industry, where I was a self-employed independent claims adjuster and investigator. I have a degree in political science. I've been a Libertarian Party activist since I was in college and have held many leadership roles in the party, like state chairman. I ran for U. S. Senate in 2024 and received 267,000 votes, a record number of votes for a Libertarian Senate candidate in Texas. I am married and have an adult daughter.
Why I am running
I want to provide an alternative for voters who are sick and tired of the corrupt two-party system that only serves big donors, not the people. My platform is personal freedom, economic freedom, digital privacy, legalizing marijuana, the rule of law, limited constitutional government, and a peaceful anti-war foreign policy. I want to reduce the size of government across the board.
Top priorities
- End deficit spending by making massive budget cuts across the board. We can't afford this large of a federal government. The $40 trillion national debt is unsustainable.
- Reassert constitutional separation of powers by limiting presidential emergency powers, executive orders, tariff authority, and warmaking powers. Congress is responsible for making laws, not the president. Congress is responsible for these areas.
- End the Iran War and work to end U. S. military intervention around the world, especially the Middle East. Our involvement there has been a disaster. Close our bases, remove our troops, and cut off all military and financial aid.
