Dan Patrick, Republican, is certified for lieutenant governor. The lieutenant governor's office says he is the current lieutenant governor, first elected in 2014 and re-elected in 2018 and 2022, after eight years in the Texas Senate. That page says that, as a senator, he chaired the Senate Committee on Public Education.
