A December 22, 2025 order of the Court of Criminal Appeals appoints Holly Taylor of Austin to its Rules Advisory Committee through December 31, 2027. The order does not give her a job title, and it does not call her the rules attorney. The State Bar directory lists Holly Eileen 'Holly' Taylor as eligible to practice, bar card 00794721, with a Texas license date of November 3, 1995, and Austin as the primary practice location. On that page the attorney reports the firm as Holly Taylor Law and the occupation as private law practice. On April 17, 2024, the Travis County district attorney said Holly Taylor would replace the director of Public Integrity and Complex Crimes and that she was then assistant director of the Civil Rights Unit. That 2024 announcement is not used as her job in 2026.
